Overview | Boost Creativity in Halton

Boost Creativity in Halton sessions are part of our Creative & Digital Careers in Halton programme which (thanks to European Social Fund) provides free training opportunities for Digital Arts & Technology skills for adults aged 19+, who live in Halton (Widnes & Runcorn).

This project runs as 9 weekly 2 hour sessions in Widnes and 9 weekly 2 hour sessions in Runcorn.

This course has been designed to enable participants to develop both creative and technological skills, as they learn about pathways into a creative career. We will be providing a wide range of exciting, engaging, hands-on and inspirational workshops, delivered by tutors who have first hand industry experience.

This part of the project is built on a similar framework to Explore Creativity in Halton, but has been structured to enable all of the participants to gain further, more detailed experience and skills in multiple digital arts & technology activities.

In addition to the variety of workshops on offer we will also bring in other Digital Artists/Technology experts to provide participants with real life examples of the pathways they took to gain employment in Digital Arts & Technology.

Through expert tuition, small class sizes and access to a variety of digital arts and technology equipment, this project will open up a world of opportunities to you when you discover that you can develop the skills necessary to consider a future in the Digital Arts and Technology industry.

During these sessions you will be encouraged to further enhance your skills and knowledge outside of the classroom, by completing the iDEA (inspiring digital enterprise award) award Silver.
